In case your history of cryptography is a little patchy, these ladies are some of the surviving “Girls of Bletchley Park” who ran the British effort to crack the Nazi codes during WWII. Some of the first computer operators and cryptographers in the world and a part of the history of women in computing. Ada Lovelace and Grace Hopper (Google is your friend) get a lot of press as great inventrices (totally a word), but though less famous, these women were a critical part of that history.
